Focal Point of 4th Istanbul International Smart Grids and Cities Congress and Fair will be Smart Energy and Smart Cities
“4th Istanbul International Smart Grids and Cities Congress and Fair” will be held at Istanbul Halic Congress Center between 20th – 21st April 2016 under patronage of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources with supports from Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning, Republic of Turkey Energy Market Regulatory Authority, UGETAM and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University as an organization by HHB Expo Fair Company.
Generation, distribution and usage of energy have been re-organized by new generation modern Smart Grids and Systems. Huge investments are on-going for technological and scientific R&D activities and production on Smart Electricity, Gas, Water Grids and Systems, Smart Transportation Systems and Smart Cities. Today’s global objective is to plan and implement cost-effective and productive facilities for energy consumption. Smart Grids and Systems are imperative for realization of this objective. On the other hand, these will also provide significant contributions for sustainability of clean environment.
The organization was accepted within the List of World’s Expositions on its 3rd year and obtained BIE Certificate, ISO 9001 Certificate providing significant contribution to Turkey’s recognition at international stage. Furthermore, the Congress obtained the status of “International Scientific Congress” under the technical sponsorship of IEEE PES (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – Power Engineering Society).
Being one of the largest and most significant Smart Energy events of World 4th Istanbul International Smart Grids and Cities Congress and Fair expects over 5 thousand participants from over 50 countries. Over 250 companies, led by main sponsors Turkcell, Vodafone, Statugaz and Luna and national press sponsors TRT, Bloomberg TV, Habertürk TV and Habertürk Newspaper, will open booths in the fair and international keynote speakers will hold sessions under the congress.
Such subjects like Smart Grid Strategies, Smart Grid Systems, Energy Management and Monitoring Systems, Energy Generation and Storage Systems in Smart Grids, Energy Consumption Techniques, Smart Grid Networks and Communication Techniques, protection, failures, repairs and maintenance for Smart Grids, innovative applications and examples for Smart Cities, Smart Transportation Systems will be discussed in panels through posters submitted by international scientists, researches and academics to set Turkey’s course on Smart Energy and Cities.
It is expected that the Smart Grids will significantly reduce the energy losses. In Turkey, ICSG Istanbul 2016 Congress and Fair is an important field of activity for the sector. In addition to its contributions to national export, it will create capital-building opportunities for manufacturers in various countries of the world.
Within the framework of 2023 Vision and “Smart Grid, Clever Development” theme of Turkey, it is aimed to set the “Smart Grid Course” in ICSG Istanbul 2016.
